Janet Wootton

Janet Wootton is an artist whose work has been influenced by a career as a communicator. There is always a message in her work but its artistic interpretation depends upon colour, texture and design. Art evolves and emerges from the materials being used. She works with a range of mainly organic and sustainable materials.

She considers art both a personal and public way of communicating messages. The idea that the art created might make a statement and represent a brand or idea has a synergy with her established strategic communications consultancy business which helps organisations and companies promote themselves and their products and services.

Janet has wide experience of the East Midlands’ creative industries.  Her personal creative activity also includes singing and acting.

In 2012 she gained an MA in Fine Art at Nottingham Trent University. Her registered project for study was to create art from organic and recycled materials for use in sustainable new buildings. The working title was: Art in Walls.

Another Change is the title of Janet's new range of jewellery made from recycled materials such as data cabling. The range is hand-crafted from her store of recycled materials and upcycled, giving them another life. Individual design-inspired handbags are a new feature of the range. A selection of items are available for sale by direct contact with the artist.
